U.S. Route 14 Grade Separation
Curran Contracting is proud to support IDOT and the Village of Barrington on a multi-year, major infrastructure improvement project creating a grade separation at the CN Railway crossing along U.S. Route 14. With nearly 30,000 vehicles traveling through this corridor each day, and the increased freight travel, the project is designed to significantly reduce traffic congestion and enhance emergency response times for the surrounding community.
As part of the work, Curran has constructed temporary four-lane runaround road to maintain traffic flow, supporting excavation and grading operations, and assisting with utility relocations. Pedestrian pathways and stormwater management improvements are being put in place to contribute to a safer, more efficient transportation network.
As communities grow and traffic demands evolve, so must the infrastructure that supports them. Projects like this reflect Curran’s commitment to building tomorrow together.
